Free will vs. Fate — Graphical Explanation
Introduction
Is our life governed by free will or is everything pre-destined? This question has popped up in almost every person’s mind but there is no clear answer available. Many people feel that they can manifest anything they want in life while others argue that their life never goes as per the plans they make. So, who is correct — Former or the latter? Let us delve deep into the topic in order to reach a logical conclusion.
Meaning
Free will
Freedom to act as per the desire.
Fate
The development of events outside a person’s control.
Whenever a soul is born (animals excluded) in the form of a human, it is subjected to the Law of Karma, meaning every action it will take will have future consequences. The power to take action is given to the humans by God, hence it is their free will to do whatever they feel is suitable.
However, the fruit of the action is not in the hands of the person but is governed by the Law of Karma and becomes the fate of the person depending on the free will exercised by him/her in the past.

Explanation
When an individual is just born as a human for the first time (point A), he/she has all the freewill and no fate at all. But, as that person grows up and performs certain actions, he/she starts experiencing fate based on past actions while still having the same freewill and keeps learning and evolving as a human. This process continues for many years and lifetimes until the soul evolves to a point (X) where it gains sufficient wisdom to start connecting with God. This is a crucial juncture as after this point, free will of the person begins to decrease and fate takes over. This is because most of the actions performed by these people will usually result in dissolution of their Karmas. However, as they still haven’t fully attained self realization, they may perform certain actions that will lead to accumulation of Karmas. Therefore, in order to help them, God himself takes charge of their life and willingly takes away their free will to expedite their journey towards liberation. Consequently, more coincidences occur in the person’s life and they start feeling as if they have lost control of their life.
Conclusion
So, we again come to the question — Who is correct — Those who believe in free will or others who feel compelled by destiny? As per the explanation give above, both could be correct from their own perspective. Its just that the one’s who believe in free will could possibly be young souls who have full freedom to do whatever they want in life while the others are old ones who have taken many rebirths and are now helped by God to walk on a pre determined path to rapidly burn off their remaining Karmas so that they can attain liberation and become one with god (Point B).
